Ingredients

  • 1 shrimp (cleaned, cooked)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes (peeled)
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • a dash of hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bay leaf

Serves 6

Directions

1. Sauté pepper, onion, celery, and garlic in butter.
2. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, prepared mustard, sugar, Tabasco, seasonings, and bay leaf.
3. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes, stirring often. Add shrimp and simmer 10 minutes longer. Remove bay leaf
