Serves 5-6
1. Ticucos are made with banana leaves. The first step after obtaining banana leaves is that you should allow them to stand in water for at least ten minutes so they soften and are easier to handle when wrapping the tamales.
2. For dough used traditional corn flour may be fast, which is sold in powder form. This corn powder is added oil and melted margarine. Also, add chopped onion and cilantro. This preparation should go slowly mixing until a paste is achieved total ingredients.
3. Tamales should be filled with black beans, (basically like corn tamales but bean on this occasion) After making a ball of dough, pat and put the filling in the center of your choice. It gets to a ball that is finally wrapped up in dried banana leaf or corn leaf.
4. It’s a good idea to use aluminum foil to keep the banana leaves wrapped in them. Finally, are introduced into a pot of water that is carried boiling. should be left covered for 45 minutes to cook. At the end of the process, can be accompanied with tomato sauce. thus eaten alone, or with coffee: D
