Ingredients

  • 150g rice flour
  • 1l water
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 5 tsp sugar

Serves 4

Directions

1. Add the rice flour to a bowl then pour over just enough water to cover. Mix with a fork then allow the mixture to sit as you add the 1l of water to a pan and bring to a boil.

2. Reduce the heat to a simmer then stir the bowl of moistened rice flour before pouring into the boiling water mix, stirring all the while.

3. Continue stirring and cook for about 3 minutes (stir continually or the mixture will become lumpy). If the mixture begins to ‘plop’ and splash turn the heat down.

4. Cover the pot and allow to simmer very gently for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

5. Turn the heat off then stir-in the ground cinnamon.

6. Add sugar to taste.
