Ingredients

  • 1lb of toasted peanuts
  • 2 full rabbits
  • 3 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • Some yellow chili pepper sauce
  • 5 tbsp of butter
  • Cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 large white onions

Serves 5-7

Directions

1. Cut the rabbits into pieces. Season with salt and pepper, cumin and the two bay leaves. Marinate for at least 12 hours in vinegar.

2. Remove them from the marinade and dry them off very well.

3. In a pan heat up the oil along with the butter. Add the onion that you prepared as well as the amount of the yellow chili pepper sauce that you desire. Continue to sauté these ingredients for a few minutes.

4. Add the rabbit pieces to the pan and cook/fry them until they are nice and golden.

5. Add two or three cups of water to the pot along with the roasted peanuts and continue to cook until the rabbit is cooked completely through. Serve this dish with white rice.
