Ingredients

  • 300g gari
  • 150g roasted peanuts
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Gari with peanuts

Serves 4-6

 

Directions

1. Pour the gari into a bowl filled with cold water.

2. Stir and set aside to stand for 20 minutes.

3. After this time, carefully pour off the water (the impurities will float to the top).

4. Repeat this process several times.

5. Place the gari in a clean bowl and pour over enough hot water to just cover.

6. Stir in the sugar to mix then set aside to stand and swell for 5 minutes.

7. Immediately before serving stir in the peanuts.

8. Divide between bowls and serve.
